We All Share The Same Sky
2020
As the headline commission for Wembley Park’s Winterfest (2020–2021), We All Share The Same Sky was a major immersive light and animation trail conceived and directed by Siân Bliss. Developed during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the project offered a poetic response to a time of physical separation, dedicating its message to loved ones kept apart. The guiding concept was simple and universal: although we may be distant, we are always under the same sky.
Spanning over a mile through Wembley Park, the trail featured a series of site-specific digital installations inspired by the quiet movement of winter skies and natural light patterns. Bliss created all the visual work and led the full creative direction of the experience — from layout to animation to sound.
The centrepiece was London’s Tallest Christmas Tree, an immense walk-through sculpture animated by Bliss and illuminated with over 100,000 kinetic LED bulbs. Complementing this were animated artworks across digital totem poles and screens, turning the urban landscape into a softly glowing world of shared light.
We All Share The Same Sky invited viewers to slow down, look up, and reconnect with the natural world — and with one another.
