As part of We All Share the Same Sky, Siân Bliss was commissioned to create a major public artwork for Wembley Park Winterfest 2020–2021. At its centre stood London’s tallest-ever LED Christmas tree — a 25-metre walk-through sculpture brought to life with Bliss’s animated visuals, inspired by the movement and wonder of a winter night sky.

Created during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the work was conceived as a message to loved ones separated by distance. Drawing on the idea that we all look up at the same sky — wherever we are — the animation offered a gentle reflection on connection, absence, and the beauty of natural rhythms. Over 100,000 kinetic light bulbs animated the structure with subtle, shifting patterns, which visitors could experience both from afar and by walking through the interior of the tree.

The piece served as the illuminated centrepiece of a mile-long immersive arts trail designed entirely by Bliss for Winterfest 2020.
