Malone x Makepeace a Bermondsey Project Space
2019
As part of The Disappearance of Makepeace, an exhibition by artist Nick Malone at Bermondsey Project Space in London, Bliss contributed a series of animated works designed to be shown in dialogue with Malone’s paintings and works on paper. Presented across an array of vintage CRT television monitors arranged in a repeating pattern, the animations abstracted and reinterpreted elements from Malone’s narrative texts and accompanying podcast, extending the visual language of the original works into time-based media. This collaborative intervention introduced a dynamic, multi-sensory dimension to the exhibition, deepening the interplay between image, story, and form.
