This 20-second animated short was created for Oops!… I Animated Again, a group screening organised by Animation Brut. Curated by Anna Cangalaris and Sam Gurry, the programme celebrated the cultural legacy of Britney Spears through a collection of experimental and irreverent works by contemporary moving image artists. Bliss’s contribution playfully engages with the visual vernacular of the 1990s—employing vibrant textures, saturated colours, and deliberately crude aesthetic choices—to reflect on the joyful absurdity of pop culture devotion. Positioned somewhere between homage and parody, the piece embraces a spirit of un-seriousness as a valid mode of artistic expression, affirming both the emotional sincerity and critical potential embedded in nostalgic iconography.
